Isn’t it time to graduate BLACK FRIDAY?

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year because I get a chance to sit with my family and discuss things we’re grateful for.  While doing that, Siamak, my brother in law told me that black friday is starting on Thursday this year. Some places are apparently starting their sales at 6 pm on Thursday.  One of my friends, Dean Mason, posted something very funny & interesting on Facebook yesterday. As funny as it is, there is a ton of truth behind it.

It made me think of something.  I’m always amazed at how many people are fighting to get the best deals on Black Friday.  If they only put the same intensity and energy into starting a part time business or becoming an entrepreneur they would be able to create they’re own black Monday-Sunday of their choosing.

It’s a scarcity mindset that keeps people where they’re at. I’m not trying to be holy here as if I wasn’t someone running to be first in line. I was the same person who was excited about black fridays’ 15 years ago until I realized I don’t enjoy living the life of the majority.  There’s nothing more annoying than constantly going to sleep at night worrying about money.

It’s annoying and it doesn’t serve you well.  But it’s also a choice that everyone needs to make.  You either chase great deals or chase your dreams that leads to not worrying about penny pinching everything.

Life changes dramatically when you advance your mindset to new levels where you start viewing everything in life in a whole NEW WAY.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being conditioned with scarcity mindset but I do believe there’s a problem if you keep that mindset.  I think there comes a time when we have the choice to GRADUATE that mindset.

My challenge to you is to decide 2015 will be the last year of being influenced by any of these non sense things like black Friday.  Go play offense with your life.  We’re not getting any younger.

It seems like It was just yesterday when I came to the states in 1990.  Just yesterday when I got my drivers license. Just yesterday when I graduated high school. Just yesterday when I got out of the US Army. Just yesterday when I got into the financial industry.  Just yesterday when I became a broker.  Just yesterday when we started PHP Agency. Just yesterday when I got married.  Just yesterday when my first son was born. Just yesterday when my 2nd was born. How many more times do we need to use the phrase JUST YESTERDAY before we get urgent about making things happen today?????  Life ain’t waiting on none of us.

Share this message if you agree that it’s time we GRADUATE BLACK FRIDAY.
