One Word You Haven’t Heard In The 2016 Election

What the hell is going on with America today? Seriously. What is going on with America today? We have gone from being the United States of America to being the divided states of America.

It seems like there are three camps in America today. Either you:

  • Hate Trump
  • Hate Clinton
  • Hate politics

There’s so much hate in politics today. I’ve been living in America for nearly 30 years now, and I don’t remember a single presidential election having this much hate, controversy and animosity.

Let’s go back and think about past elections. For example:

Obama against Romney. Controversy? I don’t think so.

Obama against McCain

Bush against Kerry

Bush against Gore

Clinton against Dole and Perot

Clinton against Bush Sr. and Bush Sr. against Dukakis

When was the last time we saw this much hate? When? I don’t remember it.

Every time we turn on the news, everyone wants to talk about all these different issues:

  • Equal pay
  • Minimum wage
  • Military
  • Racial tension
  • Guns
  • Building a wall
  • Immigration
  • Foreign policy
  • Taxes
  • Inflation

All of these things are the issue.

So what happens to us is, when our emotions are high, our intelligence is low.

[bctt tweet=”When our emotions are high, our intelligence is low. #election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

And guess who’s doing this to us? The media is doing this to us.

And quite frankly, it seems like neither one of the candidates want to answer our questions.

My Responsibility

I’ve got a family. I have three kids. I’m responsible for knowing these types of things.

And a lot of us are afraid. We are more comfortable sharing a video about Chewbacca, and sharing a video about cats, or sharing a video about some funny prank. Don’t get me wrong. I love those videos just as much as anybody else does. But when it comes down to serious issues, we’re kind of hesitant.

Listen, I’m not here with a Democratic message or a Republican message or an Independent message or a Libertarian message. I’m neither Republican or Democrat.

But I’ve got a family. I’m an American. This stuff means a lot to me. I love this country. I served this country here myself. We didn’t come to America for welfare programs. We didn’t come to America for handouts. We came to America because this place offered the American dream.

The One Word Neither of the Candidates Are Talking About

And so I’m here to tell you that there’s one word, there’s one issue that neither one of the candidates are talking about. Neither one of the candidates are even talking about this. Media is not asking about these questions. And this one thing is more important than all the other things their talking about. When they discuss issues such as foreign policy, taxes, immigration, or minimum wage, they’re talking about the effect. But what I want to know is not the effect, but the cause. How can we prevent all these issues so we don’t even have to talk about them?

[bctt tweet=”The one word neither of the candidates are talking about. #election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

You may disagree with me, but in my opinion, the most important thing for us to talk about is entrepreneurship.

Now why entrepreneurship? I’ll tell you why entrepreneurship. People talk about issues such as minimum age, but if we make the entrepreneur the hero, more that 18 to 22 year-olds will want to become entrepreneurs. They’ll get good jobs and their minimum wage will be $17 an hour.

Entrepreneurship brings in more taxes, and more revenue, so we can have a stronger military.

Through entrepreneurship, we can fix racial tension. Why? In a church I was part of, a man who was in prison came out a changed man. He started a company. He only hired people who were in prison for 10 years. That was his mission for life. He had 60 employees, and all of them had been in prison before. And it changed their lives. That was his choice. He became an entrepreneur.

Why People Buy Guns

Let’s talk about the issue of guns. When do you think people buy guns? When the economy is bad, when you and I are afraid, when there’s riots, when there’s killing, when there’s war, when there’s all these types of issues, that’s when we buy guns. We don’t buy guns when everything is peaceful. Entrepreneurship solves the gun issue.

It also solves issues with immigration, foreign policy, taxes, inflation, the economy. It’s solves 70% of the issues we face. For example, with foreign policy – we owe China trillions of dollars, and if we have money coming in, we’re not worried about that type of thing.

Through entrepreneurship, the economy is fixed. Unemployment goes lower.

The next Bill Gates, the next Zuckerberg, the next everybody is being born today, and we can do something about that.

My Challenge To You

So my challenge to you is very simple.

#1: Post this Question All Over Social Media

The first presidential debate is on September 26th, so we have time to do this. And I want entrepreneurship to become a very important issue for the media to ask and the candidates to talk about.

I want you to one, post this question all over social media, tagging the candidates: “How will your economy create more entrepreneurs? #Election2016.”

[bctt tweet=”How will your economy create more entrepreneurs? #Election2016 @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton” username=”patrickbetdavid”]

#2: Tag the Media

The second thing I want you to do is to start this conversation online, on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and anywhere else you are online. Tag MSNBC, Fox, CNN, O’Reilly, Rachel Maddow, Anderson Cooper, Hannity — tag anyone in the media. Let’s get their attention!

Here are a few tweets for you to use:

[bctt tweet=”@MSNBC ask @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton, How will your economy create entrepreneurs?” #Election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

[bctt tweet=”@FoxNews ask @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton, How will your economy create entrepreneurs?” #Election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

[bctt tweet=”@CNN ask @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton, How will your economy create entrepreneurs?” #Election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

[bctt tweet=”@maddow ask @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton, How will your economy create entrepreneurs? #Election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

[bctt tweet=”@andersoncooper ask @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton How will ur economy create entrepreneurs? #Election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

[bctt tweet=”@oreillyfactor ask @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton, How will ur economy create entrepreneurs? #Election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

[bctt tweet=”@seanhannity ask @realDonaldTrump @HillaryClinton, How will your economy create entrepreneurs? #Election2016″ username=”patrickbetdavid”]

#3: Tag Your Friends and Family and Share this Video

And last but not least, I would like to see you tag your friends and family, and share this video with them and let’s get this conversation going.

Maybe you’re watching this video because somebody tagged you and you’re thinking, “You know, this kind of does make sense.”

Look, when the annual salary today, 2016, is the same as it was in 1993, 23 years ago, we have a problem! We have a problem! It cannot be the same as 23 years ago. We’re the greatest country in the world, this cannot be happening.

So my challenge to you today is to participate with me on this campaign. Let’s keep pushing this thing out until we get the media’s attention, until we get Madam Secretary Hillary Clinton, or Donald Trump to answer the question, “How will your economy create more entrepreneurs?” Join us!
