One of the highest searched words on Google today is the word, disruptor. What is a disruptor and how do you disrupt an industry?

1. Conviction

   1. You can’t teach conviction, you either have it or you don’t have it. You need it to disrupt an industry because everyone will be gunning for you. Conviction will get you through the 100-hour work weeks when you are first starting out.

2. Compete

   1. It is very important to have what it takes to compete if you want to be a disruptor. Know what your competition around is important but also know what it will take to overcome that competition.

3. Contribute

   1. When the industry gives you everything you have, you contribute to the industry. You want to make the industry better because without the industry you would not be where you are today. Disrupting an industry is about changing its DNA completely and shaping an industries future is the best way to do that.

4. Challenge

   1. In order to be a disruptor, you must challenge conventional thinking. Every single one of your competitors wants you to go out of business and the only way to combat that is to challenge the industries thinking.
